Heritage

Man started life in 1783 as a Thames-side cooper in London. Over more than 225 years of entrepreneurialism has seen us evolve into a world leader in financial services – one of its largest providers of hedge funds and alternative investment solutions. Entrepreneurialism, resilience, and innovation; it's a philosophy we're not planning to change any time soon.

Intellect

Man is an organisation built on intellect. Our collaboration with Oxford University, for just one example, has led to the Oxford-Man Institute of Quantitative Finance.

Independent of Man and run by Oxford University academics, the centre aims to be the world leader in academic research in quantitative finance, with a particular focus on alternative investments. Deliberately located in the same purpose-designed building as the Man Research Laboratory, this collaboration typifies our commitment to staying at the forefront of research and innovation.

Integrity

As a Man UK employee, you can choose to take part in the ManKind volunteering scheme, taking two extra days of paid leave a year to volunteer with a charity of your choice, or one of those supported by Man Charitable Trust.

You will also be joining a 'green-leader' in the world of finance. Though our carbon footprint is very small, we've been a signatory to the Carbon Disclosure Project since 2006 and a member of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes since 2007, and are widely recognised as one of the sector's most environmentally visionary organisations.
